The journey continues, from where you left off on level 1A, the first few pages start with relatively simple songs and a review of things learned in Book 1A.
In this level you will learn….
- New musical terminologies in Italian that refer mostly to tempo as it is common with musicians globally.
- New musical concepts like key signatures, major scales & tetrachords, the use of the piano pedal, the 8va sign, playing and understanding the use of accidentals; sharps, flats & naturals, counting quavers and quaver rests, fermata(pause). and as a bonus to all that, you have a glossary at page 47 containing all the signs and terminologies learned from Level 1A and 1B.
- To play in different positions through the piano – The C position, G position, Middle C position, G position (with L.H one octave higher), Middle D position, and the Middle (half step position). The last few songs are a mix of different positions.
The time signatures used are basic and are the same as those used in level 1A. New time signatures are introduced at a latter level
The series progresses so carefully and it is problem-free, it is the start of a new adventure. So get your practice shoes and lets hit the piano.
